Visited this hotel on a coach trip and from the reviews we might not have booked it, but we were both pleasantly surprised by this little hotel. The rooms were very clean and Visited every day by the lovely cleaning ladies to remake our beds, clean bathroom and empty bins, which was smashing to come back to after being out exploring all day. Room size was adequate for the amount of time we spent in our room. Top tips would be to bring a kettle and hairdryer (they do supply a hairdryer, but it was very slow and not very powerful). Breakfast wa great, cold and hot options, coffee machines, cereal, and even a waffle maker. We found the staff so friendly and helpful. Great location to the south of the main shops/squares, but plenty to see around the hotel. One street up on the left has a good variety of restaurants and a pleasant walk along the canal back streets. Also a great place to jump on a horse and carriage ride. Easy to reach the train station for tips to Brussels, Gwent etc. Nice to have Carrefour shop opposite, together with a souvenir/beer shop too. We would definitely recommend this hotel and can't wait to come back again. Bruges is beautiful.

Centrally located, the reception is friendly and welcoming as well as helpful. The bar and breakfast rooms are easily accessible. Though there was a glitch with the soft-boiled eggs cooker, the breakfast was satisfactory especially if one uses the fresh squeezed orange machine (pedal is on the floor). The bar can get very noisy when groups invade it.

Bonuses Ideally and Centrally located close to the City sights with a secure car park next door. Negatives Building site (Novotel) directly opposite was a distraction and tiny and very tired looking room with no facilities, safe, kettle etc mark it down.

Once again the Ibis Brugge live up to expectations, this has been a favourite stopover for many years on my way home from various places in Northern Europe. Great location, wonderful staff, and a very convenient Car Park, I will be back, on mu next visit to this wonderful City.

I’ll start with the positives first. Fabulous location, very good bar area with a great welcome from friendly staff. Followed by a quiet, clean room with comfortable, small twin beds. We had a very good night’s sleep. Not so good, soap dispenser near wash sink was empty & other above the bath too high to reach. Drinking cups were tired & over used, just needs paper cups. Bath tub too high for people of an age, children & small legged adults to climb in & out of, plus bath was slippy. No tea/coffee facilities, basic plastic shades of lighting next to the beds which looks cheap & tatty. As for the towels - ours must be at least 10 or more years old. No pile, dingy & far too small. Outside corridors are in need of maintenance for example painting skirting boards. For a pretty city like Brugge this hotel group is letting its customers down. If the Novotel next door was open we would of stayed there instead.
